Working on the new book, day 5

Looking through old photos is a strange process, a weird mix of surprise and nostalgia. The photos I have accumulated on my computer cover a difficult part of my life; even after deleting a number of photos, I still manage to come across an image here or there that I overlooked, or that reminds me of something I’d prefer to forget. At the same time, I’m also reminded of my willingness to experiment with the medium—my Views from a Parked Car series comes to mind—and that I’d like to publish a photo book some day.

Working on the new book, day 4

Yesterday was day 4 of finding possible photos to go with the poems that will comprise the next book. I now have the Delicates and Do-overs sections left to go, and then I can move on to my iPhoto libraries. Continue reading
