Taking a slight break from work on the next book to work on a paying gig (yay, copy editing!) and do a little bit of overdue cleaning. Updates will resume in about a week. (The poetry and love notes posts will continue, however.)
In the meantime, the 2016 Pulitzer Prizes will be announced on Monday. Tune in to hear no mention of my name whatsoever! (The fact that I entered is enough for me.)

Looking through old photos is a strange process, a weird mix of surprise and nostalgia. The photos I have accumulated on my computer cover a difficult part of my life; even after deleting a number of photos, I still manage to come across an image here or there that I overlooked, or that reminds me of something I’d prefer to forget. At the same time, I’m also reminded of my willingness to experiment with the medium—my Views from a Parked Car series comes to mind—and that I’d like to publish a photo book some day.
