Smashwords ebook sale happening now

My Smashwords page is a little out of date, thanks to the events of the last couple of years—but all of my ebook titles on Smashwords (from Separation Anxiety through The Lilac Years) are all available at 75% off the regular price through July 31st. That means $1 or $1.25 each, depending on the book. Each title is available in your choice of EPUB and Kindle formats.

And don’t forget to check out the other books on Smashwords as well.

It’s a book (almost)

Wishes sometimes have consequences is on its way to being a book! I uploaded my final revisions for the paperback edition this afternoon; after checking the proofs (four of them in all), I clicked on the ‘Approve’ button to make it official.

I am still waiting for a new proof for the hardcover edition—though I don’t really need it now, since every change I made to the paperback edition I also made to the hardcover edition (since the interior pages are the same except for the ISBN and two brief lines on the last page). I do still need to upload the updated interior file, though, so I have email in to IngramSpark to check on what’s holding things up. (I was hoping to get all the setup done before Mercury goes retrograde tomorrow—but the on-sale date is April 30, so there will be plenty of time for any snags to work themselves out before then.)

Meanwhile, this time I opted to splurge for the advertisement/promotion as part of the monthly catalog Ingram sends out to retailers. I haven’t used this particular service before, so I’m curious to see if it makes any kind of difference.

Book update: 1 March 2019

Wishes sometimes have consequences is finished, and has been uploaded! I am now awaiting e-proofs.

The 496-page collection will be available April 30th in hardcover and paperback formats. The hardcover will retail for $40, and the paperback for $25. At these prices, I will get about four bucks per copy sold.

The two editions will have different cover art, but the same interior. I previously posted a screenshot of the dust jacket for the hardcover edition; here is what the cover of the paperback will look like:

I am going through IngramSpark again, which means that you should be able to order both editions from just about any bookstore—so support your local bookseller!

More news as it is available.

Exploring cover drafts: dust jacket, 2-20-19

Here is a lo-res screenshot of the dust jacket:

I opted to chuck the fake cut-out text, as it didn’t quite feel right.

I have nudged the title on the front cover up slightly; otherwise this is essentially finished. I am going to let it sit for a day or two, just in case. That will give me time to make sure I’m satisfied with the interior,
