Today’s NaPoWriMo prompt is another one that I kind of groaned at inside when I read it. Seeds? Few things incite more boredom in me than the idea of looking at garden seed catalogues. Working on the new book, day 3

So, I just finished watching The Big Short. Holy crap. I mean, I worked in real estate escrow for nearly five years, so I knew that a lot of people were being suckered into dodgy loans—but the extent of the bullshit that went on around the whole mortgage business is astounding. (And those two mortgage broker guys who end up at the same job fair at the end? I encountered women who were like that as well.) Continue reading

Today’s NaPoWriMo prompt is another one that made me immediately recoil: write a poem in the form of a fan letter to a celebrity. I made this palatable by using the viator form, in which the first line of the first stanza becomes the second line of the second stanza, and so on, until the poem ends with the line with which it began.
