Thanks to a lull in the action, I was able to work a bit on the book yesterday. It had been long enough that I sort of lost track of where I was, but the main task was to update some of what I had already worked on, incorporating some of my newer poems, and taking out others. Continue reading
Working on housekeeping-type stuff today. So far, I have added a PayPal Donate button and mailing list signup (MailChimp) to my website. For now, I am calling my e-mail list Cult of Lucy. Lucy, of course, is the Alarm Cat…
Update update: I have now added PayPal Buy Now buttons under the Purchase from the author headings on the pages for the poetry collections, so you no longer have to go to a separate website to buy printed copies of my books.

Thursday night, I went to Everett Poetry Nite at Cafe Zippy for the first time. I’d been meaning to head up there for over a year, but had never got around to it, as the thought of fighting rush-hour traffic was totally unappealing. I have updated my blog; I am now using WordPress’ Affinity theme. It looks like I may have the option to use it for my website as well—but I did just change that yesterday, so I am not sure I want to do that just yet. Anyway, I think this new theme will make things a bit easier on the eyes.

I finished the preliminary layout for the Oddities section today.
As the screenshots below demonstrate, I did not necessarily give every spread the wacky treatment. In part, that was to let the poems speak for themselves, but it was also to let the material dictate the treatment of each spread. Continue reading
After much procrastinating, I have at last installed a new theme on my website. It even has a slider!
I will be doing the same thing to my blog here shortly, although I will not have access to the same theme (Tonic Pro, by bavotasan.com).
