Typewriter
Apropos of nothing, I finally took my typewriter to have it properly cleaned and serviced. Because the only shop in the Seattle area that works on typewriters is in Bremerton and I live north of Seattle, it was a half-day trip: about one hour on the ferry each way, waiting for the better part of an hour for the ferry trip back, travel time to and from the ferry docks—and maybe ten minutes at most at the repair shop to drop off the typewriter and get an estimate. I will be doing this again in about three weeks.

I opted to chuck the fake cut-out text, as it didn’t quite feel right.
I have nudged the title on the front cover up slightly; otherwise this is essentially finished. I am going to let it sit for a day or two, just in case. That will give me time to make sure I’m satisfied with the interior,
