National Poetry Writing Month 2021, Day 24: Bloodsucking politicians

My Day 24 poem is my response to the NaPoWriMo.net prompt, which is to find an article about an animal, then replace the name of the animal with something else, and use the resulting text as the basis for a poem. I opted for biting satire; I used this Guardian article about leeches. Is it appropriate? Probably not.

National Poetry Writing Month 2021, Day 23: Taste-less

My Day 23 poem is my response to the NaPoWriMo.net prompt, which is to write a poem that responds to another poem. I chose this piece by S. R. Mason, as it got me thinking about taste and flavors. (Maybe I should have called it ‘Flavor-less’, but I liked the punny quality of ‘Taste-less’.)
