Flashback: All Bound for Mu Mu Land Again

I made quite the score about a week or so ago. While out and about performing the day’s tasks, I finally stopped at the Silver Platters flagship store’s new location.

Apparently, they recently acquired a huge amount of vinyl from Masa, one of the DJs at KEXP. And when I say “huge”, I’m not exaggerating: there’s a whole section of the vinyl area devoted to it—and I’m told there’s more. Continue reading

Flashback: Elton John Custom Mix

A while back—I’m not exactly sure when—I assembled a playlist of Elton John songs in iTunes. I narrowed down the playlist to CD length so I could listen to it in the car.

Recently, while moving for the second time in less than six months, I gave it a spin. Subsequently, it provided the soundtrack for much of the week I spent taking boxes from old place to new place. Continue reading
