Dear Wednesday,
What happened to spring?

My Day 7 poem is my response to the NaPoWriMo.net prompt, which is to write either a fib (six lines, with the number of syllables on each line corresponding to the Fibonacci sequence, or 1/1/2/3/5/8) or a shadorma (six lines, with the syllable count by line being 3/5/3/3/7/5). I combined both forms, using the fib for the opening and closing stanzas, and the shadorma for the stanzas in the middle.
An annual rumination.
Dear Tuesday,
I should be drinking coffee to wake up, not to get warm.
Love,
Kevin

My Day 6 poem is my response to the NaPoWriMo.net prompt, which is to use a short line from a favorite book as the title of a poem, write a poem based on that title, and then replace the title with something completely different. I started out with a line from the 2006 translation of Meditations, by Marcus Aurelius:
‘…there are two reasons why you should be content with your experience.’
Dear Monday,
This is spring, right?
Love,
Kevin

My Day 5 poem is my response to the NaPoWriMo.net prompt, which is to write a poem that has the same shape as another poem. I chose Vasilina Orlova’s poem ‘Pet’. from her book Holy Robots. (You can view the poem by clicking on the book cover thumbnail, then entering the title in the search field provided.)
Dear Sunday,
All clear so far.
Love,
Kevin

My Day 4 poem is my response to the NaPoWriMo.net prompt, which is to write a poem inspired by one of the photographs presented by @SpaceLiminalBot on Twitter. I responded to this photo.
Dear Saturday,
I’m ready!
Love,
Kevin
