When it comes to food
noodles have all the fun

Though they spend only a short time cooking
they’re drained when they’re done

And then they get saucy
all tangled up together
and frequently twisted—
hardly surprising, what with
all those mushrooms
and red wine

And if someone adds oil when cooking
then all bets are off

Oh, don’t get me started
on stir-fried noodles…
