Not much happening yesterday—and I am not a fan of the phrase ‘happy place’…

Twisty roads
around the city’s edges
some distance
from my ‘happy place’
a mythical land
beyond my jurisdiction

No map
no direction
only the internal compass
without a needle
without markers
without a true north

Straight paths
through the center
obstructions and detours
Her ‘happy place’
still off-limits
to the likes of me
