I write poems about you
so obvious
I’m almost afraid
to show them to you

I keep secrets very well
so close to vest
you would never know
I would never tell

Still, I can’t hide my feelings
not completely
but I try my best
to keep them from you

Gravity is very good at its job
that’s the only thing I’m sure of
I know almost nothing about love
except I never have enough

I write poems about you
so obvious
you may never know
unless I tell you
