Sam-I-Am cannot be trusted (a poem)

The March 2nd prompt in The Daily Poet, by Kelli Russell Agodon and Martha Silano, is to write a poem that includes characters or images from Dr. Seuss stories.

What would Sam-I-Am think about cilantro?

so it’s not hard to imagine him caving on the cilantro issue as well
Then he’ll be corrupted by asparagus,
brussels sprouts, artichoke, and avocado

We’re going to have to watch that Sam-I-Am…
