National Poetry Writing Month: Day #4 (April 4, 2014)

Today’s prompt: write a lune…the version developed by Jack Collum. His version of the lune involves a three-line stanza. The first line has three words. The second line has five, and the third line has three.

Two hundred balloons
dot the blue afternoon sky
orange, yellow, green

Breathe deeply now
look up at the sky
close your eyes

Feel the warmth
of sunlight on your face
dream a little
