This reminds me of my husband – he has about five pairs of glasses and I’m always finding them in all the usual and often unusual places. He often sits on them too! It can’t happen to me because I wear mine all the time – I shouldn’t be so smug about it!
I actually slept on a pair once. Somehow they did not get all bent out of shape, so I still wear them.
I was reading your poem and thinking Yep, same here, resonates so much, but I am so glad my glasses are right here on the table! Then I glanced and they are freaking just not there… Off to find them!
I tend to find mine in the first place I originally looked, but later. That’s why I’m determined to make my next pairs brightly colored, ugly, or both, so they’ll be easier to spot.
I can relate. I have three pairs just in the kitchen!
Technically, I have five pairs. One is a backup I keep in the car, and one is my reading glasses. But it’s the three pairs I regularly use that I regularly misplace…
