Places I check when I can’t find my glasses (until three days later, when I’m sitting at my desk, look down for no particular reason—and there they are, right where I left them)

  1. This reminds me of my husband – he has about five pairs of glasses and I’m always finding them in all the usual and often unusual places. He often sits on them too! It can’t happen to me because I wear mine all the time – I shouldn’t be so smug about it!

  2. I was reading your poem and thinking Yep, same here, resonates so much, but I am so glad my glasses are right here on the table! Then I glanced and they are freaking just not there… Off to find them!

    • I tend to find mine in the first place I originally looked, but later. That’s why I’m determined to make my next pairs brightly colored, ugly, or both, so they’ll be easier to spot.

    • Technically, I have five pairs. One is a backup I keep in the car, and one is my reading glasses. But it’s the three pairs I regularly use that I regularly misplace…
