2022 Poetry Marathon, Hour Four

From the hour four prompts:

Now
music is the sound
of a light breeze

of dry leaves
crackling as they tumble

of the wood
of the abandoned piano
as it warps
and another of its strings snaps

of the whistling
from the thinnest of gaps
between the bones
of the dead composer
who slept
until sleep could no more

of the footsteps
of curious creatures
who stop and sniff
and then move on

Now
music is the sound
of quiet
