Maybe if I addressed everything to you
something would be different

Maybe if you were the only one
to hear what’s on my mind
to know my desires
life would be different

Maybe if I gave you the mask
and let you decide
when I should wear it
I might spend less time in disguise
hiding behind open eyes

Maybe I would learn to be brave
