National Poetry Writing Month 2021, Day 28: Questions

My Day 28 poem is my response to the NaPoWriMo.net prompt, which is to write a poem that poses a series of questions.

Questions

People want to know
if I have any questions

Why do I always have to have questions?
What if I understood the first time?
What if I want to think about what I’ve just seen or heard first?

What if I wasn’t paying attention?
What if I found the whole thing tedious and dull?
What if the only question I want to ask is

What’s the point of all this?
