The Cardea poem (a poem)

I typed the first line to see how it would look in the Cardea typeface.

The undisputed king of thunderless storms and wordless tantrums
doesn’t have a poker-worthy face
but he does have a knack for the art of distraction

You’d never know
if you already knew

The undisputed king of a loss for words
manages to say something now and then
if behind closed eyes

You’d never know
if you already knew

The undisputed king of wanting to do things differently
has an unfortunate habit of repeating himself
in a manner of speaking, if not the actual words

(And it wouldn’t be the first time)

Add it all up and the undisputed king of something to say
is waiting for his chance to talk—
but it’ll be up to you to change the subject
