Ma. x vol. ume (a poem)

Written while watching Lingua Ignota and other YouTube stuff.

Brought out beside
this infatuation—why am I
always drawn
to wounds and inflictions?

There’s no dictionary for an unknown language
No shoes for broken feet
There’s no choice but to feel your way

Slow down the affection dirge
in incremental stains. Physics alleges
what it can’t confirm or track

I’m not going to make it clear
what yonder light obscures

I can’t help but wear what I re-
fuse to carry or lock
in a corner room

¿Why am I
always drawn?

No choice but to feel my way
