National Poetry Writing Month: Day #28 (April 28, 2014)

Today’s prompt is from NaPoWriMo.net:

…find a news article, and […] write a poem using (mostly, if not only) words from the article.

The article I chose: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/04/25/work-words_n_5159868.html

A fog of fast and empty language
demonstrably disliked discourse
vapid verbal shortcuts
empty speech for empty thoughts
dying metaphors for dead ideas

…proactively surfacing new ideas
to synergize the paradigm shift
taking action items to the next level on your radar
killing it 110 percent over the bleeding edge
to incentivise impactful, viral engagement

’Twas once said:
‘Corporations are people, too, my friend.’
But really! How much time would you spend
with the asshole
who actually spoke like that?
