I’ve shed no tears
for so many years
all my worst fears
have no place to go
So they grow and they grow
and the next thing I know
they knock me about
as they fight to get out
fuelling my doubt
till I just want to shout
‘Shout—let it all out
these are the things I can do without’
But still no crying
So I have to keep trying
to nourish the seed
until I find what I need
to get back on track
and climb my way back
to a happier place
where I might have the space
to breathe easy
