Sometimes, it’s hard to let go.

In October 1994, I was in one of those frames of mind. It had been five years since our relationship abruptly ended, but still she lingered in my thoughts. In fact, it was her birthday, which didn’t help. Neither did the fact that we both seemed to have a lot of unresolved feelings about each other. We still wrote to each other. We occasionally talked on the phone, despite living an ocean apart.

I was just about over any delusions that we would ever get back together. In the meantime, I still had all these feelings. As I often did, I put them into my music…
