2022 Poetry Marathon, Hour Two

Very loosely based on the photo prompt:

John Lennon said
women are the other half of the sky

So it must be
a quirk of the weather
that it is not raining today

and a sign of calluses
that the feet of the dark-robed minions
do not bleed
from dancing on the jagged edges
