An unexpected dreaming phase happening these last couple weeks or so…

A weird shape, trapezoidal with rough edges, like torn paper. I’m determined to maintain it until I wake up.

I walk through the door to a house on a hilly street. Inside, a group of people are having a salon-style discussion. About what, I don’t know.

The next morning, Alex is not there. A small CRT in a narrow cabinet has a message from her: I’m in Yakima.

I’m watching a VHS tape of something in the living room with a young woman, her little brother (maybe 5 or 6 years old), and the guy from Sex and the City who just died (he’s wearing a sky blue cape and a leotard).

The next day, Howard Stern (from 30 years ago) comes to spend the weekend, uninvited. After agreeing to the plans he’s just made for us for the day, I consider calling the young woman to invite her to go us.

There’s a commotion out front.

A police car pulls up; several officers and the guy with the cape get out. They’ve come to search the place for a computer with his YouTube chip on it. Fortunately, I don’t have a computer at this place—but they find it anyway.

Howard Stern is lying on his stomach, naked, on the bed. After some hesitation, I sit down next to him and explain that I’m not ready for guy-on-guy stuff. He says, “it’d be more nice than exciting.”

A couple of notes: Alex is my ex-wife. The ‘Sex and the City guy’ is Willie Garson, who died September 21, 2021.
