Thoughts. Collisions.
At the snap of a finger
the scene changes
A slap
a clap
an echo
a microtonal shift
in the frequency of indifference
a crack
in the moment of quietude
Enter doubt
followed by uncertainty
conflicting expectations
and a decline
in the gross national product
of Ecuador
Time flaunts its elasticity—
no time is all
all-time is nothing
‘it’ll be over before you know it’
becomes the proposition
that must be agreed to
before you are allowed to proceed
You awaken at the snap of a finger
to this unfamiliar scene
