An evening at home… 

Where the colors of the scene
fade to reveal a flat background
detail hides

                  The dots fall farther and farther apart
giving each other all the space they need
and then some

                       They don’t give me much to work with
my visions of future terror need viable settings
to prevent them from spiralling out of control

                                                                           Empty spaces
are what make us afraid of the dark

                                                         Digital clocks and night lights give us
points of reference to avoid the abyss
imagination and fear create

                                            Mine has other ideas
