My writing challenge this month is to write poems in different locations; today it was Third Place Books in Lake Forest Park. Today’s entry was inspired by S. R. Mason’s ‘Your tongue tastes like copper at midnight’.
Do metals taste different
at different times of day?
The copper kiss
may be mined
for its conductive properties
Does it still sting
at 2 a.m.?
My thoughts
on the matter
are likely suspect
I can’t get the taste
out of my mouth
(1 January 2018)

I love this
Thanks!
