The combination of errands and some book stuff led to me not being particularly inspired in the poem-writing department…

Today I have nothing to say
I’ve got plenty on my mind
but none of it new
and nothing new to say about any of it
so I turn on the next episode

Yeah, it’s been that kind of day
I had plenty of time
to do what I needed to do
(even though I forgot to do all of it)
now I’m watching the next episode

I could look for a better way
to come up with more interesting rhymes
for when rhyming is what I want to do
(though there was a time when I wasn’t having any of it)
but I’d rather go on to the next episode

In the end, it’s okay
It’s going to take effort from time to time
to push the words out and slog on through
Some days are harder—I just have to do it
In the meantime, it’s time for the next episode
