I’m up late. By the time I post this, it will be a few minutes past 1:30 in the a.m. At the last minute, I decided to skip the poetry reading I would normally have gone to; instead, I resumed looking at photos—this time my iPhoto library covering 2011–2015. Instead of going through the photos for each poem, I started at the beginning, and picked out photos that I thought I would be most likely to use.

Needless to say, that approach made everything go much faster. I may have spent the last few hours looking through five years of photographs (a little over 10,000 photos—though this includes many of the photos that are in my Lightroom library as RAW files), but I made it through all of them. The next step will be to start matching up images with poems and/or sections…
