A noisy breather sat next to me at last night’s open mic…

It could be radio waves
or a sucking sound
I keep poking holes
in hopes of learning more

What will come out
is anyone’s guess
Steam might help this headache
ease the pressure some

I hear it knocking in the pipes
travelling from room to room
at least the floor is nice and warm
perfect for napping

The buzzing of the light outside
hums me a lullabye
Thank you, City Light, for your service
you’re so good to me
