Partly inspired by some of my recent reading…

I want to put my hand on your shoulder as I walk past
and have you look at me with that familiar smile

I want to put my arms around you just because
and sink into the embrace as though there were nothing else

I want to kiss you deeply and tenderly
and in that moment feel everything I need to know

I want to entangle my life with yours
until we can swim in each other’s dreams
