Misprint poem

Recently, I bought an inexpensive laser printer, as I wanted to have to stop spending so much on inkjet cartridges. Well, as much as I like the printer I bought, I haven’t quite got used to its paper feed just yet (it’s not as obvious as inkjet printer feeds are). Consequently, when I try to print something on both sides of a page, I still have to go through a bit of trial and error.

Today’s trial-and-error-fest resulted in two poems being printed over each other. The following poem comes from the unscathed words on the lines common to both of those poems.

For long
to stretch
possibilities

Unannounced delays
same as my old life

Pull wears me down

Face
away
into nothingness

There is no witness—
port
for breath
all around me

I haven’t got much longer,
I wonder
