Catching up with the July 15th prompt in The Daily Poet: Day-By-Day Prompts For Your Writing Practice, by Kelli Russell Agodon & Martha Silano: “Write a poem in which each line ends with the same rhyme.”
Holy crap!
Don’t be a sap—
I think it’s a trap
So shut yer yap
I’ll be there in a snap
’Cause we won’t let this fall in our lap
or put up with their rap
over such a stupid little flap
about a spot on a map
filled with nothing but scrap
When it’s a wrap
we’ll go hit the tap
(unless there’s a cap)
then zippity-zap!
It’s home for a nap…
