Ordinary Average Thoughts 
They make this grippy (haha) stuff you can lay underneath rugs.
In this case, it was the rug itself (which is placed on top of quite possibly the world’s ugliest shag carpeting). It’s this fake fur rug that’s really, really soft. Like ASMR-provoking soft. Unfortunately, really, really soft also means really, really slippery. I’ve actually slipped a few times already, but this was the first time I fall down go boom…
Ugliest shag? Is it a safe bet your house is older? We don’t need you roaming around your house with a walker in fear that deadly might trip you up. Definitely must go.
Circa 1973. Probably the original carpet. I haven’t wanted to bother replacing it, so I’ve got lots of area rugs.
