Looking back at saturation (a poem)

Thinking about the day after watching short documentaries about Yazoo and Erasure on YouTube…

I’ve been feeding myself tension all day
not quite pretending
not quite giving it all away

Never mind what I did or didn’t say
I would have forgotten as much
on any other day

What’s going to happen
will happen either way

Erasure will not do me any favours
that’s just the way it is
