Here is my poem for Day 28 using the POETRYisEVERYTHING prompt: Use five verbs and five nouns used in space, astronomy, or rocket science in a poem about another subject.
I’ve come to the conclusion that desire is a vacuum
sucking the unsuspecting into its orbit
using the future as propellant
Its mission is to strike at hypersonic speed
igniting anything that will deliver flame
the unsuspecting are launched into an emotional stratosphere
against their better judgment
pitiful payloads on a trajectory leading straight into a wormhole
coming out who knows where—
if the bridge doesn’t collapse in the meantime
