Bookstore Poem #336. Why buildings fall down

Too hot to be serious…

Tired of standing

Not looking where they’re going

The appearance of new buildings all glass and sparkle fills them with such an overwhelming sense of defeat they crumble

They’re not Weebles

Tripped by the jealous café on the corner

Naturally inept

Slipped on a banana peel

Mistaken for Rock’em Sock’em Robots

Forgot to tie shoelaces

Why should collapsing bridges get all the attention?
