I saw something today that said ‘the truth is out’ (it may or may not have been a book title). I know what it means—but it made me think of something a little different…

The truth is out

Yes—I cannot lie
we are all out of truth right now

Honestly, all I can offer you this day
is lies, deceptions, misdirections
and bullshit

The people who were here before
used up all the available truth—
no lie

The fact of the matter is
no truth will do
because we’re all out
