‘I am enough’

That’s a horrible phrase

‘I am enough’

I understand the intent
but I don’t think it says
what you think it says

The New Oxford American Dictionary
defines enough as
‘as much or as many as required’

That sounds an awful lot like
the bare minimum
to me

Is that what we’re here for?
Is that what the struggle is all about?

To pull oneself up
to the top of the cliff
and proclaim
‘I am the bare minimum’?

I am not the bare minimum

I am not ‘enough’

I am

That’s enough
