Pondering the downward phase of the curve (pt. 1) (a poem)

Yesterday was kind of an odd one…

A simple erasure is seldom enough
If the collapse is going to happen
it will

The catch of the day
is never a permanent solution

The green glow of the jukebox
will hide my scars
from the darkness

while I wait for the cool evening air
to crowd out the afternoon heat

A glass of wine
would be good right about now
for a bit of relief

so I could forget to worry
about everything on my mind

You know, my problems could be solved
if I were my generation’s premier actor
(Just a thought)
