Went to Third Place for the first time in a week…

Little disconnected thoughts
every last one
must be leading to something

Interrupted threads
and dangling interludes or flights of fancy
might give the casual observer
the impression I am deeply disturbed

I am not
I am moderately disturbed

In other words:
not enough for the institution
too much to count anything at face value

Little disconnected thoughts
don’t know where they’re going
but insist I go with them

Interrupted threads and dangling interludes
mean I sit in front of fifty-seven open tabs
(that I know about)
every one of which needs to stand by
just in case
those little disconnected thoughts
decide to go somewhere
