Neither lost nor found (a poem)

The rare poem written on my phone…

Avail yourself of the boatman’s luck
unless you want the sirens
to ignore you

That tendency you have
of being yourself
will get you nowhere
you weren’t meant to be
and you’ll have nobody
but yourself to blame

They don’t let just anyone
move to the island, you know

You have to earn it
if you want angels
to be there when you sleep
