The things you find out after…

That black rectangle
where the screen used to be
has some rough edges

but will reveal nothing

Stories don’t have to happen
in whispers and sotto voce
maybe it felt more natural that way

The ten things I didn’t know
are going to stay that way, it seems
everything else is an accident of discovery

They’ll all be contained
in the box of final reduction

When the stone is cast
