Driving at night (a poem)

A winding road I often take on my way home…

Moon tunnel trees
emerge in the night
ahead in the night
my travels through time
barely register outside of my sight

I have been on this ride before

This time I could take the curves
with my eyes closed
as though I’d gotten lost in the tunnel
and never made my way out

But I know I did
because I made it home
