Inspired by the music…

Elegy saunters in
through a door
that was completely barricaded
until a few minutes ago
pulling three guitars
bass
a grand piano
a full drum kit
and oceans of silence behind it
beckoned by strings stuttering
in mock churlishness
to the hum of a bassoon
crooning to itself in the corner

Outside
in the garden
the wildlife of Eden
pause to listen
