COLD this morning…

First
frost brings scraping windshields and morning
fog      Turn on the heat and the inside
fogs over       but I just cleaned the windows
for cryin’ out loud    what is it with winter and its
finicky ways?              And it’s only November—
February will be here soon enough, I
fear     even though it will
feel like
forever as I’m
freezing in late December, waiting
for the
first snow-
fall of the season, or
for the
feline to make up her mind about staying in or going outside
February can’t get here soon enough
