Too preoccupied (and then too sleepy) to write anything yesterday, so here’s one I wrote late Friday night.

I don’t have the explanation
for any of this

When there are more questions
than answers
I draw nothing but blanks

I’m not pre-verbal
I only feel that way

Your conclusion may be
that I need to snap out of it
but if it were that simple
I wouldn’t be here

I don’t know what to say to that
after the fact

The numbers are dwindling
